Organization at a glance

Bandarban Disabled People's Organization for Development (Bandarban DPOD) was established on 7th June 2001 in collaboration with Bangladesh Pratibandhi Kalyan Samiti (BPKS). Provided organizational and technical support to Bandarban DPOD during the first 3 (three) years by implementing the project under an innovative approach of Persons with Disabilities Self-Initiative (PSID).

In 2003, Bandarban DPOD was formalized by BPKS by adopting the necessary changes to form an independent organization to obtain registration from the District Social Services Department as a local non-governmental disabled people's organization.
